Tom Cruise ruled the summer with the seventh installment ofMission: Impossible, and in less than 10 days, Sylvester Stallone is returning to get in on the action with the fourth movie ofThe Expendablesseries. When it comes to the action genre, there’s a never-ending list of brilliant franchises.

However, there’s a real dearth of the same in the comedy genre. If the precedent is anything to go by, it seems it’s much easier to run out of jokes than run out supervillains to continue progressing specific plots.
This is whyThe Hangover trilogyis such a special franchise. All three films starring the likes of Bradley Cooper and Zach Galifianakis are packed with interesting plots and sub-plots that don’t sacrifice the crucial laugh factor.

Why Bradley Cooper Slapped His Hangover Co-star Zach Galifianakis
Without taking any shot at Mike Tyson’s brilliant cameo, the best part about the movie is the chemistry between the Wolfpack, who hilariously stole the legendary boxers’ tiger in the first installment as the three friends go on a rampage during a bachelor party in Las Vegas.
The cool guy Phil (Bradley Cooper), the needy and fumbling Alan (Zach Galifianakis), and the supposedly composed Stu (Ed Helms) all brought different things to the table to great effect, helping the first movie gross over $460 million at the box office. Cooper and Galifianakis shared equally hilarious bond elsewhere.

TheLimitlessstar agreed to take part in Galifianakis’ talk showBetween Two Ferns. In case you aren’t aware of the nature of the show, theDue Datestar intentionally puts his guests in an awkward situation with his thoughtless remarks. Instead of Galifianakis, just picture Alan taking all these interviews and you’d understand the whole theme of the show. Except, Alan is mean towards Phil in this rather than trying to impress him like in the trilogy.
During the conversation, Galifianakis took a moment to read his notes. When Cooper took issue with it, the host replied (viaFunny Or Die):“Well you know you can’t skate on your looks alone.”

As Cooper tried to laugh it off, Galifianakis stood up and used his pen to point at his guest’s heart and said:“What matters is what’s in here.”
TheBurntstar slapped theMastermindsactor’s hand, and within seconds they both amusingly started slapping each other. Like the two little kids, both paused for a second, sat on their chairs, composed themselves and then Galifianakis threw another slap.

Why Zach Galifianakis Apologized to Bradley Cooper
On camera, Galifianakis was certainly very rude – as the show’s theme demands – with his former co-star and guest. But when cameras are off, he seemingly goes out of his way to verify others don’t feel bad. At least that’s what he did with Cooper.
In 2019,Between Two Fernsreturned in the form of a movie, with Galifianakis deciding to hit the road to complete more awkward celebrity interviews. During one of the scenes, he referred to hisHangoverco-star as a‘hot idiot’. Realizing the joke was misplaced, Galifianakis apologized to Cooper.
“There’s something in the trailer and he’s not even in the movie, but I refer to him as a ‘hot idiot,’”Galifianakis toldVariety.“I called him when I saw the trailer…I was like, ‘I called you a ‘hot idiot.’”
Cooper didn’t care and when Galifianakis called him, he just laughed.
