Fan reaction to the note byOne Piecewriter Eiichiro Oda
The latest update on the live-action series by Netflix has set the internet abuzz about the wait time of the show. Oda had shared in the letter that all involved in the show are working hard and in sync to make an amazing show. He said,
“Now, this might seem like it’s coming out of nowhere but…we’ve been hard at work this entire time. And now, each and every entity involved is working in sync. We’re finally here!! Considering my expected lifespan, I believe this is the last chance to bring ONE PIECE to the entire world. If we’re going to do it, I want to be able to supervise things while I’m still active. That’s why I agreed to the live-action adaptation of one piece back in 2016.”
“Since then, Netflix has committed enormous resources to the production. It was announced that the show will launch in 2023, but they’ve promised that we won’t launch it until I’m satisfied.”
The fans of the show seem disappointed with the delay in the release of the live-action series. Some fan reactions are mentioned below-

Well what would be the point of saying that it’ll “Set sail” in 2023 then? By the time he would be satisfied, he’ll probably have it launch the year after!

If they’re actually consulting Oda and seeking his approval, then this adaptation might have a chance.
I still can’t see it though honestly. I can’t even imagine One Piece in live action. I’ll give it a chance though.
