Ving Rhames was paid $7.7 million forMission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

Reportedly Rhames demanded $7.7 million for his 3 minutes appearance in the movieMission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.In the 2011 action-adventure movie only Cruise, Simon Pegg, Paula Patton, andJeremy Rennerhad significant parts to play.
Luther who is often seen as the mastermind behind hacking multiple systems arrived at the end of the movie. In the end, the actor is seen conversing briefly with Cruise. According to reports, thePulp Fictionstar received a big amount for those few minutes in the movie. Reports also suggest that beforeGhost Protocol,the 64-year-old was paid $3 million to play Luther in theMission Impossibleseries.

Ving Rhames wants Tom Cruise to stop doing his stunts in his movies
During an interview, Rhames talked about how incredibly blessed he feels to be a part of such a successful film series for such a long time. The actor also revealed that his character Luther was supposed to die after 10 pages of the script. TheHoliday Heartactor went to Cruise and Brian De Palma and asked “Why does the black man have to die in the first 10 pages of most movies?”Soon Cruise and Palma made the changes and Rhames was part of all the installments from the film series.
While talking about the lead actor ofMission ImpossibleCruise, theDawn Of The Deadactor said he wants the 60-year-old actor to stop performing his stunt scenes in the movie, the 64-year-old actor said in an interview,

“I was in Los Angeles, getting ready to go to London. I’m sorry he got injured, but McQuarrie got more time to work on the script and I stayed home. Tom’s getting older now. I know he loves doing his own stunts, but as a friend, after we get the close-up, maybe we should let the stunt guy do it. Maybe.”
