After a decade, Chris Pratt starringGuardians of the Galaxyfranchise is all set to finish it off with the final movie in the series releasing in May. While some fans are going out of their minds with excitement after the new trailer dropped recently, some are also trolling the 149 minutes length of the movie. James Gunn recently responded to that saying that not even a second of that is wasted, as it was necessary to bring the arc to its full circle conclusion.

In the same light, Chris Pratt, aka Peter Quill in the movie recently commented that he remembers every media publication that predicted the movie will be a flop before the release ofGuardians of the Galaxy vol. 1. He noted that although he is not a vindictive person, it feels good to remember the journey they had together with the cast all these years with the franchise concluding.

Chris Pratt onGuardians of the Galaxy‘s massive success
Guardians of the GalaxybroughtChris Pratttremendous recognition worldwide for his amazing performance as the star lord. However, before the movie’s release, it seems that he was extremely nervous due to the presumptuous backlash the movie got. Pratt mentioned on the last day of filming the movie, that he still kept the clippings of every media publication that said that it would be a terrible flop due to its“A-list talent.”
He elaborated to Fandango in a recent interview,

“I’m not a vindictive person… but I happened to have in my notes file several press clippings saved from the first movie when everyone predicted that Guardians of the Galaxy was going to be Marvel’s first flop.”
He continued by saying, “Everyone was saying all of these negative things. At the time, we were insecure and nervous about the prospects… I remember all of that.” Remarking on how none of it came true he noted,

“We had this great run. At the end, I wanted to read some of those clippings to the cast and crew and to [director] James [Gunn] and to… I guess kind of rub it in a little bit.”
He also noted what a great journey they have had these past ten years considering that they weren’t supposed to be successful with even the first movie, and it feels like they did“something special.”He just wants to,“bask in the moment of what these last 10 years have been”now, according to him.

Chris Pratt and James Gunn to reunite
With the franchise ending in May, and all the major characters getting the time to complete their character arcs, fans are wondering what comes next. Especially asJames Gunnalready teased a major death in the series, there are rumors that it is none other than Peter Quill who will bid the first goodbye. Gunn’s comment on just how close he is to hisGuardians of the Galaxycast and there being a possibility of them working with him in his new job as the director of DC seems to confirm that.
Chris Pratt also commented vaguely that as they are best of friends if his old buddy calls him to offer anything he will be answering. Inflaming the rumors more he also noted that when it comes to playing a DC character he will let the fans choose for him. Hence, the recent debates about Chris Pratt playing Booster Gold inJustice League.

Pratt also mentioned in an interview that, even though theJurassic Worldfranchise was supposed to conclude withJurassic World Dominion, there could be more on that front as there is a lot left to explore in that area. Especially with his preference for the mosasaur and Gunn’s half-formed cavemanJurassicspin-off ideas, it seems fans will not have to wait long to see them collaborating again.
