Salma Hayek, best known forDesperado(1995) andWild Wild West(1999), appeared onThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallonin April of 2017,and the host pulled up a photo of her wherein she was seen taking a hot air balloon ride.
She was also joined by her daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault, and Jimmy Fallon was quite curious to learn more about her experience. The actress, who appeared inThe Hitman’s Bodyguardin 2017, said that she took a vacation to Morocco, and according to her Instagram handle, it was in February of the same year.
Hayek said that the balloon ride was her first experience and that she was worried about the landing part the most. It was due to the fact, as she recalled, that the open field had lots of goats and she thought the balloon would land on one.

Salma Hayek’s Major Hot Air Balloon Fear
Hayek was seen having breakfast with her daughter as she wanted to spend some quality time with her and the operators weren’t careful with the landing as her basket almost hit a goat. Clarifying again, she said that she worried a goat may get run over by the massive weight but luckily, that didn’t happen.
“First of all, you see there is all this space, and there were like four people operating and taking out the breakfast. But you have to block them so you may have this very special moment with your daughter. Just when we were landing, there were some goats and we were really worried. We almost hit the goats, but we didn’t kill any goats.”
Her daughter, who was 9 then, also had her worried as she said that there was no place for any of them to take a tinkle.

Salma Hayek’s Hot Air Balloon Toilet Trouble
Pointing to the audience,Salma Hayekmentioned that another cause of concern for her was that there was no toilet on the hot air balloon. Children don’t often have a good hold on nature’s call and that only added to her anxiety.
“The only thing I was really concerned about is, ‘What happens if you want to go to the bathroom?’ All of you that have kids, you know they always pick the right time.”

Explaining further, Hayek joked withJimmy Fallonthat she spent some time with the goats and kept petting them.
Hayek’s latest work was in 2022’sPuss in Boots: The Last Wishwherein she voiced Kitty Softpaws.
