Although Portman had her fair share of struggles, Mila Kunis also had hurdles along the way. With a very strict diet attached to her role, Kunis revealed that her body was changed permanently after she had to follow a diet of cigarettes and bare minimum calories!

Portraying the role of a ballerina rivaling Natalie Portman in the film, Mila Kunis had a very tough time portraying the role of Lily in the 2010 film. With the burden of being a ballerina, the actress had to lose 20 pounds for the role.

In an interview withET Online, Kunis revealed that she had to be on a diet of cigarettes and the bare minimum calories necessary for survival. Kunis stated that she became a chain smoker just for the role of Lily. The actress revealed that her body suffered some permanent changes and she wouldn’t recommend this diet to anyone.
“I had to look skinny in order to look like a ballerina. I used to be a smoker, and so I smoked a lot of cigarettes and I ate a limited amount of calories. Twelve hundred calories, and I smoked. I don’t advocate this at all. It was awful.”
In a separate interview withHarper’s Bazaar, the actress revealed that her body was all skin and bones.
“My shape is different. When I got down to 95 pounds, I was muscles, like a little brick house, but skin and bones. When I gained it back, it went to completely different areas.”
This was just a glimpse of the craziness that Kunis has done over the years. With her awful diet, the actress attended the Academy Awards and she snuck liquor and secretly took shots because she knew she wasn’t going to win.

In aHarper’s Bazaarinterview, the actress revealed that she knew that she wasn’t going to win, and hence, she had the brilliant strategy of sneaking in liquor at the Academy Awards.Natalie Portman’sco-star revealed that she had the best time of her life.
“I think I, at the Oscars, had the best time of anybody, because I snuck liquor in, I did shots. I knew I was not going to win. It just didn’t even cross my mind, it doesn’t even matter. Like, I literally had the best time. I was like, ‘This is crazy, you guys, is anyone else aware of how crazy this is?!'”
Black Swanreceived a rating of 8/10 on IMDB and a whopping 85% on Rotten Tomatoes. The 2010 film is available to rent on Apple TV+.
