Tobey Maguire learned it soon after starring in the first installment of the OGSpider-Mantrilogy when he was teased for a rather strange reason.

An inspirational comeback
Tobey Maguire’s story is nothing short of inspirational. Back in the 1990s, theBabylonstar was struggling with addiction. Following rehab at an organization named Alcoholics Anonymous, his life changed for the better.
The 48-year-old built his reputation little by little over the course of the next few years. Starring in movies like Ang Lee’sThe Ice Storm,Wonder Boys, The Cider House Rules,andCats & Dogsplayed their part in him finding his feet back again.

It would all change though. Fate had other plans for Tobey Maguire. His life would change in the aftermath of featuring inSpider-Man.Peter Parker was a role tailored for Tobey Maguire. And it was evident from the moment he set foot in the studio.
In 2002, a man born in California would achieve stardom overnight. Back then, in an interview onThe Howard SternShow, TheGreat Gatsbystar was talking about how he managed to slip on the Spider suit. For him, it was a dream come true. It was a role he wouldn’t mind being typecast in.

Howard Stern asked Tobey Maguire why he is“muscular as hell”
Howard Stern had other plans though. He tore into everyone’s favorite ‘friendly neighborhood Spider-Man’ for bulking up after his transformation in the film after being bit by a spider. The $650 million worth adult star said,
“Did you do special work? Cause when you turned into Spider-Man you were muscular as hell.”

But Maguire is not one to be fazed by such comments. TheBrothersstar then let all the viewers in on his secret workout routine. He said,
“I worked out 5 months, 6 days a week up to 4 hours a day.”

Now there is a man who knows the responsibility he needs to shoulder in order to do justice to his role without letting it get to him.
