When you’re set on something that you know you will be able to turn into something exceptional, the general route most will take is to give their all and do everything that they can to make their vision a reality. Actress Margot Robbie is no stranger to that drive and hunger to persevere, something that has led to her meteoric rise in the film industry as we know it today.

And with the release and the subsequent success of her latest filmBarbiedirected by Greta Gerwig, it’s apparent just how much she has put herself into the film. In fact, if it hadn’t been for her wits and never-give-up attitude, the film would have been missing Ryan Gosling, a scenario she averted by making a deal with him.
Margot Robbie Promised Ryan Gosling He Would Get A Present Everyday While ShootingBarbie
When it comes to going above and beyond to make an impact on their part, Australian actressMargot Robbiehas made it quite clear how much she is willing to give to her performances and make the film she’s working on a success. She did it when she played the role of Harley Quinn in the DCEU, and yet again when she played the role of the iconic plastic doll in the most recentGreta GerwigdirectorialBarbie. But what people may not know is how far she went to rope inRyan Goslingto play the role of Ken in the film.
During the promotion tour of her then-upcoming film by WB, theBabylonactress was asked about the moment when her co-star agreed to work with her on the film. She revealed that she actually had to bribe him, which turned out to be a promise of giving him a gift every day for the duration of the entire shoot. The actor also chimed in, confirming that although it seemed too absurd to be true, Robbie did make true to her word and sent a gift every day to him without fail. He said:

“Everyday, there was this pink wrapped present from Barbie to Ken in order to, I think encourage Ken-ergy. They were all beach related or horse related, it was amazing. It was a long shoot, and at a certain point it felt like this is not sustainable, this can’t continue, but it did.”
Together, they created one of the biggest blockbusters of the year, all thanks to the actress keeping her word to the actor.
