It should go without saying that any Hollywood actor—rising star or seasoned—would do anything to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. MCU, which has produced nearly thirty films and a number of TV shows, is a major force in the entertainment industry that has helped establish (or revive) careers and given a select few people the chance to play iconic superhero roles. So it is not shocking to learn that Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson’sFifty Shadesco-star, was also keen to fit into the superhero characters in the Marvel Studios films.

The actor who portrayed Christian Grey in theFifty Shades of Greyseries, has previously admitted that he has been vying to be a part of the expanding superhero universe.
Along with his roles in theFifty Shadesseries, Dornan has also played Paul Spector inThe Falland Sheriff Graham Humbert inOnce Upon a Time.Belfast,Robin Hood, andAnthropoidare a few of the actor’s other noteworthy works.

Dakota Johnson’s co-star Revealed His Surprising Superhero Role Condition
Almost everyone aspires to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.Dakota Johnson’sFifty Shades’co-star, Jamie Dornan would also not turn down the right role.
During the promotion of his HBO Max series,The Tourist,Dornan spoke with SlashFilm (last year) about the rumors that he had met with Marvel President,Kevin Feige. And when asked if he would rather play a villain or a hero if he joined the MCU, the actor, 41, stated:

“I’m not sure. I have to say, about that — someone mentioned Kevin Feige’s name, and I went, ‘Yeah, I’ve met Kevin Feige.’ But I didn’t mean that I’d met him recently. I just meant that I’d met him and sat down and talked about all things Marvel. But it’s been a minute. If the role’s cool and it shakes your boat in the right way, I don’t think it matters whether they’re a good person or a bad person. I’ve played good people and evil people in my career so far, so whatever I’m drawn to. But they need to come to me first [laughs].”
Additionally, the actor previously spoke with The New York Times to discuss his meeting with Marvel Studios. Dornan revealed that he had a meeting with Feige to discuss joining the MCU.While acknowledging that he is“more ambitious”,he also provided the following explanation for his choice:

“I’m more ambitious than I’ve ever let on before. It’s like a necessity to deliver and provide, very caveman-esque: I must succeed for these precious little people. Also, since my dad died, it’s lit this extra fire within me, this extra burner of wanting to succeed.”

Jamie Dornan’s Admiration for His Former Roommates
Before fame and glitz caught up to them all,Jamie Dornan, Charlie Cox, Eddie Redmayne, Andrew Garfield, andRobert Pattinsonwere all famously roommates when the aspiring stars were navigating the competitive world of acting.
It had been a parallel rise, with each finding success as the star of acclaimed franchises. Despite this, Dornan occasionally takes a moment to acknowledge the journey taken by his contemporaries, especially Pattinson, who made history in the Matt Reeves DC Universe movie as Batman(The Batman). The Fallactor told The New York Times:
“I would be lying if I didn’t admit that I feel like him and his people have played it really cleverly. Everything he’s done since Twilight has been really smart and beautifully crafted, and those films aren’t financed on his name had he not been in these movies that made billions of dollars.”
In terms of filmography, Dornan is quite varied. He co-starred in the 2015 filmFifty Shades of Greywith Dakota Johnson and later appeared in the two sequels,Fifty Shades DarkerandFifty Shades Freed.
