Ubisoft has a few good franchises that still help keep the Ubisoft Connect app as relevant as it can be. Ubisoft’s franchises such asAssassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Tom Clancy’sfranchise,Watch Dogs, andThe Crew, are some of the most successful and ongoing series of games. TheAssassin’s Creedseries in particular has had a tumultuous ride with some fan-favorite memorable games in the series, while there were also some games that are riddled with bugs and glitches, making them the most hated games in the series.

Valhallareleased in 2020, isn’t a fan-favorite in the series but isn’t as hated by gamers either, and the game certainly isn’t riddled with bugs. It still ranks quite low among fans of the series as the game missing a key element, compared to the other games in theAssassin’s Creedgames and most open-world games.

The game is set to be based in four districts in Baghdad, with players also exploring Alamut, where the Creed series originated.

Upcoming games include theAssassin’s Creed Nexus VRwhich is set to be playable on the Oculus Quest and the Meta Quest 2 platforms, with a release date set to the holiday season later this year. While there’s always hopeful excitement in the upcoming games of theAssassin’s Creedseries, gamers who play the existing games aren’t as happy with either the bugs ruining their experience or the main campaign being too short, as was the case in the 2014 game,Assassin’s Creed Rogue. 2020’sAssassin’s CreedValhalladid not end up being among the fan favorites for a completely different reason, though.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Misses Key Element, Fans Feel In-Game World Feels Empty Without It

Back in 2020, Ubisoft releasedValhallawhich took gamers back to the Dark Ages of England. The game introduced a whole new progression system that didn’t resonate with most gamers, with the game also having its share of a lot of bugs to deal with upon launch. All of that aside, the game did have quite a lot for gamers to explore and discover, taking up the character of a Norse Viking, Elvior. As much as the game offers players to explore through its vast expansive open world, there are no side quests in the game.

This particular reason left manygamesof the series feeling something missing in the game, as most games in the series had something for gamers to look forward to, apart from the main campaign. When a Redditor asked gamers what they felt was the worstAssassin’s Creedgame, there were a lot of mixed comments.

Another Redditor also chimed in on the comments by saying how the game felt quite empty, as he said, “The world feels empty. There are no side quests…”. He went on to compare the game with other earlier titles, which were his favorites up until Valhalla. WhileValhallaisn’t a bad game by any means, the fact that the key element of a side-quest was missing, left a void in the game that fans of the series just couldn’t overlook. The game’s ridiculously big open world also left gamers exploring the game for a lot longer than the previous titles in the series.
