The versatile Academy Award-winnerCharlize Theron who has recently appeared in Marvel’sDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessand DC’sThe Boysis coming back with the sequel of her Netflix’sThe Old Guard.
Apart from Theron, other stars are slated to return including KiKi Layne, Matthias Schoenaerts, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Veronica Ngo, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Writer and comic book co-creator Greg Rucka who was also involved in The original film will be present in the sequel as well.

While Gina Prince-Bythewood directedThe Old Guard, Victoria Mahoney stepped in to direct the sequel from Rucka’s script. It is yet to be confirmed when the project will begin production, though if it begins shooting in the upcoming months, it would probably gonna debut on Netflix as early as next year.

According to Deadline, Kill Bill actress Uma Thurman and Crazy Rich Asians star Henry Golding have joined the cast of Netflix’s anticipated sequelThe Old Guard 2.
Uma Thurman is an Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner known for turns in films includingDangerous Liaisons,Pulp Fiction,Batman & Robin,Gattaca,Sweet and Lowdown, andKill Bill: Vol. 1&2, among many others. She recently portrayed Arianna Huffington in Showtime’s seriesSuper Pumped: The Battle For Uber and is currently working on her upcoming projects.

When Will The Production Of The Old Guard 2 begin?
Though the two new significant cast leads have been disclosed, TheOld Guard2 does not have a release date or even a production start date, but with information now getting disclosed from the franchise, it might be possible that the production will start in the next few months for a next year release.
