The MarvelsRepeated MCU’s Mistake

Major Spoilers forThe Marvels

In 2014, the MCU releasedCaptain America: The Winter Soldier, and the movie was praised by the billions. With an intriguing plotline at hand of S.H.I.E.L.D. being infiltrated by Hydra members, the film worked as an espionage film as Black Widow and Captain America uncovered Project Insight.

A still from Captain America: Winter Soldier

In present times, another organization known as SABER was in the works which prevented threats from the universe. Although S.H.I.E.L.D. was dissolved in Phase 4, SABER is still active and this time, there is a different member infiltrating the organization. Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury seems to be infiltrating SABER by knowing the whereabouts of every person of interest in and around the world.

The Marvels

This seems to be the same mistake that Zola made inCaptain America: The Winter Soldierwhen Project Insight was used to eliminate every person who seemed a threat against Hydra. What the people don’t seem to realize is that much like how Captain America and Black Widow infiltrated Hydra, another person could, in fact, infiltrate SABER and use it for villainous purposes.

And the cherry on top is that with Nick Fury and SABER possessing immense knowledge and information, any villain could infiltrate this organization and turn it against the whole world! It isn’t confirmed whether the MCU has a loophole or there is a storyline of SABER at hand. One thing that is certain is that the MCU doesn’t like to leave loose ends. The side-story of Nick Fury gaining control over SABER inThe Marvelsdoes seem to set an interesting premise for the future should the MCU decide to act upon it.
