Everything you need to know about The First Berserker: Khazan’s official PC system requirements, including the game’s file size, and more.

The First Berserker: Khazan is arguably one of the most fascinating releases of 2025. While the game is technically connected to theDungeon and FightersorDungeon Fighters Online(DnF) universe, it’s a completely different experience. Instead of being a 2D beat-em-up, The First Berserker: Khazan is an action RPG with souls-like elements.

Developed byNeople, the game closely resembles titles like Team Ninja’sNiohandWo Long: Fallen Dynasty. While the game does stay true to its action-oriented hack-and-slash roots, it’s more focused on the RPG elements instead of just the character action parts of the DnF franchise, which is quite interesting.

Although the game is still months away from its official release date, i.e.,August 14, 2025, pre-orders for The First Berserker are already live on all platforms. Alongside the pre-order details, Neople and publisherNexonhave revealed the game’s official system requirements as well. Here’s a look at The First Berserker: Khazan’s PC system requirements.

The First Berserker: Khazan is built using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine, albeit heavily modified. Instead of opting for the latest Unreal Engine 5, Neople chose to stick with UE4, which gives them more flexibility in terms of performance and art style. UE5 does offer significantly better visuals owing to its underlying technologies likeLumenandNanite.

However, it does so at the cost of substantially higher resource costs, particularly in terms of VRAM and system memory. Using UE4 removes the performance constraints, allowing Neople to make the game target 60 fps on all platforms. Furthermore, for a souls-like, performance matters much more than visual fidelity.

Due to the game’s use of Unreal Engine 4, the system requirements are relatively lower. The recommended GPU for The First Berserker is anRTX 2070equivalent, which is acceptable for a current-gen title. Furthermore, the game is not particularly heavy on CPU either, with the recommendation being aRyzen 5 3600equivalent. That said, the following are the minimum and recommended system requirements for The First Berserker: Khazan:

It should be noted that for the minimum specifications, the target performance is1080pat 30fps withLowpreset. Whereas, for the recommended specifications, the target performance is1080pat 60fps withHighpresets.

The First Berserker: Khazan File Size

According to the official PC system requirements, The First Berserker: Khazan requires roughly70 GBof storage on PC and consoles. Given the game is built using Unreal Engine 4, the file size doesn’t come as a surprise. Most Unreal Engine 4 and 5 titles often have large file sizes in order to accommodate for the high-resolution textures and assets.

Furthermore, Neople highly recommends installing the game on an SSD. UE4 does benefit a lot from faster storage media, as it helps in loading textures as well as streaming data at a faster rate. This, in turn, helps alleviate any instances of texture popping, which can be imperative to a game’s immersion factor.
