Jason Sudeikis’ sports comedy-dramaTed Lassohas had a great run at Apple TV for the past three seasons. He stars as a college football coach, Ted Lasso, in the series, who gets hired to coach the English soccer team, assuming that it would fail under his guidance, however, his supervision proves to be effective, leading the team to succeed. The third season, which is also expected to be the final season of the series was released earlier this year in March.

However, the lead star does not seem to be done with Ted Lasso, as he talked about the potential future plans for the Emmy-winning comedy drama.

The season finale of the popular showTed LassoSeason 3,So Long, Farewell,was released this week on May 31, marking the end of the comedy-drama that first premiered in August 2020. One of the writers of the showBrett Goldsteinhas earlier stated that they were working on season 3 as the show’s end.
Jason Sudeikis, who portrays the titular character in the series, talked about the series’ future during an interview with Deadline. The actor hinted that the show might not renew for another season as he said,“This is the end of this story that we wanted to tell, that we were hoping to tell, that we loved to tell.”

He also shared that he is grateful for fans who are eager about the show’s future. But he claimed that by the time the season finale would air, they would understand the reason for ending the series with a third season.
Talking about his future appearances as Ted Lasso, he said,“I mean, there’s always Cameo, right?”TheHorrible Bossesactor said that he could always make an appearance in cameos if there are related series or probably aTed Lassospin-off.

WithTed Lassocoming to an end, there have been talks of the show’s spin-offs following some of its prominent and popular characters. There have been multiple suggestions for which character should get their own series after the show concludes.
Sam Obisanya, Dr. Sharon Fieldstone, Keeley Jones, Roy Kent and his niece Phoebe, and Rebecca Welton are some of the characters who are considered for spin-offs by many. And Jason Sudeikis, who also created the series, seemed open to the idea. He shared that he was flattered to know that people want more from the show and its characters.

TheHall Passactor said that he appreciates fans for giving so much love and support to the series. Sudeikis further mentioned,“The fact that people want more, even if it’s a different avenue, is lovely.”Although he did not confirm anything, he said that nothing could be said about what could happen next.
