Marvel Studios has been introducing many new characters into the cinematic universe followed by the events ofEndgame. With the expanding universe, fans have been expecting to see more of a new character, Man-Thing in the upcoming series or movies. The character has been teased in multiple MCU projects. The creature was last seen in the Disney+ special showWerewolf by Night.The Halloween special introduced the monsters and monster hunters to the MCU.

Marvel Reportedly Developing a Man-Thin Special

Man-Thing has been teased so many times in the MCU. The character was teased in the first season ofAgents of S.H.I.E.L.Dand was later assumed to be a part ofThor: Ragnarok.Although he does not have a physical appearance in the film, his statue was seen for a brief moment.

Not many details about theMan-Thingproject are available, but it is expected to explore the origin of the swamp monster. In comics, Dr. Ted Sallis turns into the creature after he injects himself with the super soldier serum he has been developing. However, things, do not go as planned after he crashes his car in the Florida Everglades.

The serum combines with the swamp to turn him into a monster with superpowers like size alteration, teleportation, fear empowerment, and plant manipulation. Followed by the reactions and reviews forWerewolf by Night, the studio has been planning to develop more such special presentations.

Where Would Man-Thing Next Appear in the MCU?

Werewolf by Nightdirector Michael Giacchino has said that with the special he just wanted to tell the story of one night in these characters’ life. And that was the reason there were no major MCU cameos in it. Giacchino also shared that he did try to fit in characters like Blade or Moon Knight in the series, but it did not fit with his vision.

However, Marvel Studios executive producer Brian Gay confirmed that Jack Russell and Man-Thing will have more appearances in the MCU. He said there are having discussions about where they can appear next.

These characters will most likely appear in another supernatural MCU series or movie. Considering this, fans may get to see them in the second season ofMoon Knightor the upcoming filmBlade.
