Sony Pictures Entertainment owns the rights to Marvel’s most profitable superhero, Spider-Man. With Tom Holland’s version of Spider-Man becoming a huge success among fans, the studio has finally decided to expand its universe withMadame Web.

The trailer is just a couple of seconds longer than the three-minute mark and primarily focuses on Dakota Johnson’s Madame Web. But apart from that, it also features Sweeney as Spider-Woman.
Considering the film will feature an all-female lead cast, it’s a huge step in the right direction for Sony Pictures Entertainment. Sweeney has a huge fanbase following her portrayal of Cassie Howard in the hit HBO dramaEuphoria.

Sims previously made an appearance as Spider-Therapist in the 2023 animated filmSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.However, Sims’ official live-action debut will be inMadame Web.
