Fan Exposes Major Flaw Capable of MakingStarfieldGaming Experience Awful
A fan going by the name of Perlrulez on X (formerly Twitter) shared their disappointment saying that it seems like the landing “tiles” inStarfieldare not connected and as they assumed the game merely brings about different areas for exploration, and lacks any interconnectivity. They said that even if the player lands right next to a city, they are not able to see it from a distance.
The user took a reference from a Reddit post with the user’s name omitted. The post stated that every space that the player is landing on the planet has a box and these boxes have invisible boundaries or borders. The players once reach the border, can not go any further. The user termed it as a tile or square that limits a player in all four directions.

The post further read that even if players land on the next space that they were in early on, they just do not coincide. If the players land next to New Atlas, they will not be able to see it from afar. According to them, the tiles are just randomly generated and don’t have any interconnectivity.

Fan Reactions to the Major Revelation inStarfield
StarfielddevelopersBethesdahas marketed the game as a ‘go anywhere, do anything’ game and if this leak regarding the borders is true, where players can’t even go from one landing spot to another, it’d be a far greater limitation than the gaming community had anticipated. The post saw users questioning the game’s immersion and planet exploration when it was said that the players would be able to explore over 1,000 planets.
However, they were also users who came in support of Bethesda and Starlight saying that their game always have a few bugs and this issue actually makes sense on a technical level.

How can the Game of Generation have bad immersion like this?

I think it makes absolute sense on a technical level. I don’t think they ever promised seamless uninterruptable terrain.

basically large zones that auto generate on landing, and those zones don’t connect but you can fast travel to them.
Considering the amount of planets the game has, I don’t think it’s an issue. Unless the areas are too small
