She has worked on some extremely renowned projects likeThe Hunger Gamesfranchise,Silver Linings Playbook, Mother!, andPassengers, all of which have helped her establish herself as a truly exceptional and talented actress. She has been awarded for this time and time again, including being nominated for an Academy Award four times in her career and winning the same once, for her work inSilver Linings Playbook.

Lawrence’s 2018, film,Red Sparrow, stands out in her filmography. This is for many reasons, including the difference in tone compared to most of her projects, as well as the fact that the actress did something she had never done before, being completely nude in a scene. One can imagine that there were a series of emotions that she felt when she was shooting these scenes, which probably did not include her, enjoying making the people around her uncomfortable. This, however, was the case.

Jennifer Lawrence Was Nervous Initially
ForRed Sparrow,Jennifer Lawrencehad a scene where she had to be completely naked. It is natural for actors to feel nervous when doing nude scenes and she was no different in this. She confessed, according toTotal Film, that it was a similar feeling to the nightmare that a lot of people have been completely naked in a classroom full of people. Ironically enough, this is what was happening in the scene as well as her character was to disrobe in a classroom full of people.
“My character is told to strip in front of the class, and I had to strip in front of a class and an entire crew,”she told.“I worked myself up [about the scene], I was really nervous. But Francis [Lawrence] made me feel so much more comfortable. Everybody made me feel like I had clothes on. And then when I finished, I just walked out feeling empowered. I felt amazing.”

She confessed that she was extremely nervous in the moments, leading up to the scene. She added that she had to work herself up and directors, Francis, and Lawrence helped calm her down. After she did this, however, her feelings were completely different towards what happened.

Jennifer Lawrence Felt Empowered
After she did this scene, Jennifer Lawrence felt extremely empowered by being naked in a room full of people and consenting to it. One of the reasons for this was her horrible experience when her private photos were released without her consent and she felt violated. She added that this made her feel amazing as it was her choice, and it was for her and her art.
“There’s one particular scene in the movie where your nightmare comes true from grade school, where you’re standing naked in front of a classroom full of people. So that became a reality, but it actually wasn’t that bad. Everybody made me feel so comfortable that I probably at a certain point started making everybody else uncomfortable. Because I’d be like, ‘I don’t want the robe. I’m hot. I’m eating.’ Everybody’s like, ‘She needs to cover up.'”

The actress felt so good about this that, according toCinemaBlend, she did not want to wear clothes, even when the cameras were turned off, in between takes. She added that this made the people around her quite uncomfortable. The reason for this was that after a scene was over, she would be offered clothes to cover up, and she would refuse, because she was feeling hot, or she wanted to eat, making people around her, as she joked, ask her to cover up.
