Ryan Gosling has been a raging Hollywood hotshot for a long time now, and the recent critical acclamation he received forBarbiehas further boosted the heights of his fame. And now, one of the notably biggest fan-favorite actors of all time is allegedly on his way to step into the world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Even though he has been picky with his on-screen character choices and has even rejected some important superhero roles before—including that of one major MCU Avenger—the chance to don a cape or a superhero costume has reportedly come to Gosling once again by Marvel, and fans couldn’t be more excited about it all.

Currently running at the top of his game fresh off hisBarbiefame withMargot Robbie, Ryan Gosling is now in talks of being eyed by the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a possible collaboration. Well, at least that’s what Hollywood insiderDaniel Richtmanhas to say.
While the rumor doesn’t reveal the exact role,@HollywoodHandle on Xreported thatThe Notebookstar recently met up withKevin Feige, i.e. the head of Marvel Studios, to explore the potential roles he could undertake in the extensive superhero world that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is.

This news is even more surprising considering how Gosling was previously reported to have turned down a major Avengers role back in the day. This superhero role was none other than the oneBenedict Cumberbatchended up signing up for: Doctor Strange (as reported byTHR).
However, as the events turned out, the Golden Globe winner didn’t take on the role just like he rejected multiple superhero and supervillain roles from the DC Universe as well, and has been winning fans’ hearts since with stand-alone movies like one of his all-time bests,La La Land.
Another potential role in the MCU that he was being eyed for previously was that of the intergalactic hero Nova aka Richard Rider. But Gosling didn’t take long to shut down those reports either, as he claimed he‘didn’t know anything about Nova’during an interview withMTV News.
But in the morning following the MTV interview, theDrivestar reached out toJosh Horowitz(as per what@joshuahorowitz shared on X) to state that he wouldn’t mind trying his hand at playing the Ghost Rider, so that’s that as well.
Thus, so far, amid the constantly intensifying speculation on the character whose mantle Ryan Gosling could possibly take on, these few superhero roles are currently riding high.

Although still unconfirmed, fans are already excited about it
The Marvel Cinematic Universe may not have confirmed any such news as of yet, however, it doesn’t mean fans can’t be excited for it already. After all, their long-time dream of watchingRyan Goslingin a superhero (or supervillain) suit could actually finally come true.
That is why Gosling fans have been lining up on X to share their happiness over this officially unconfirmed report all the while letting out which character they think their favorite actor could be down to play.

Even though several uncertainties pose a barrier between fans’ wishes of seeing Ryan Gosling don a superhero (or a supervillain) role, their enthusiasm regardless is worth appreciating. Perhaps this enthusiasm could actually end up making theCrazy, Stupid, Lovestar take the risk and jump into the extensive superhero franchise? Well, there’s nothing wrong with hoping!
