The film required Pattinson to do a steamy and graphic sx scene with Spanish actor Javier Beltran, which ended up being a humiliating encounter that had the actor breaking down on set. Recalling the scene,The Batmanstar said,
“Here I am, with Javier [Beltrán], who plays Lorca, doing an extremely hard-core s*x scene, where I have a nervous breakdown afterwards. The hardest part was trying to do it doggie-style.”
