While the duo managed to grab huge sums for their portrayal in the 2010 film,The Tourist,Angelina Jolietrumped the number on per word-pay basis. She spoke a total number of 999 words to play the role of suspended police officer in the movie, which nearly earned her $21 million from the movie.
Thus, she was paid $20,934 for each word she spoke in the film (as perWhatCulture). Meanwhile, her co-star,Johnny Deppjust earned $20,000 per word given that he had comparatively more screen time than the former in the movie.
The movie revolves around Depp’s character, Frank Tupelo, who has decided to travel to Italy to mend his broken heart. During his trip, he encounters Jolie’s character who is in search of her lover, Alexander Pearce, a wanted criminal.
