Andrew Garfield is an exceptionally talented actor. Having made his Marvel debut as the amazing Web-slinger, fans reckon there is nobody as perfect as him for the role. However, it was recently revealed that before Garfield the role almost went to Priyanka Chopra-Jonas’ brother-in-law.
Priyanka Chopra-Jonas’ younger brother-in-law Joe Jonas has had a few acting credits to his name. Last seen in the filmDevotion, Jonas once revealed that he almost made his Marvel debut. Before things could take off, he, unfortunately, lost the role to Andrew Garfield.

It is no secret that every profession is tough. And when it comes to Hollywood, it is especially tougher due to the presence of a plethora of very talented actors and actresses. No matter what connections one has, there is always a possibility that they might lose on the roles they desire the most. This was a bitter truthPriyanka Chopra-Jonas‘s brother-in-lawJoe Jonashad to face when he auditioned for Marvel’s fan-favorite character Spider-Man.
In an interview, when asked about which role rejection destroyed him or made him feel defeated, theDo It Like Thathitmaker revealed,
“I can name probably a couple. In the moment, you’re destroyed or you’re defeated. But you realize this person was brilliant. I remember years ago I was up for Spider-Man and I was so, so excited and it was the year Andrew Garfield got it. Obviously, he was the right one.”
Jonas then added, how he felt confident that he almost bagged the role,
“But I remember that was a big thing at the time, going back for callbacks and the director used to be a music video director. So I was like, ‘I got an in here.’”
Much to his disappointment, the star never got the call and it wasAndrew Garfieldwho got the chance to don the Spidey suit inThe Amazing Spider-Man.

Despite Rejections, Joe Jonas Loves Acting
Joe Jonas has a pretty illustrious career himself. After getting back with his brothers and making a comeback, the Jonas Brothers have made it big. Going on to collaborate with multiple artists across the world and even recently announcing a world tour, it seems all is well with Joe Jonas. Then why would he try acting at all? In his own words, he really loves the craft,
“I obviously love acting and it’s something I’ve always wanted to get back into.”
While most amateur or even A-listers stars would feel nerve-wrecked during auditions, Jonas loves the process,
“I love the process of auditioning and putting yourself out there and having to prove yourself.”
While he might not be making his comeback to the acting world soon since he would be busy touring, it would be great for the fans to catch him back on the silver screen in perhaps a lead role.
