Dragon Ball Daima, a brand-newDragon Ballseries, has been confirmed and will premiere in the fall of 2024. According to the footage, it’s being drawn byDragon Ballcreator Akira Toriyama and, while there have been numerous comparisons to GT, it’s a unique story never told inDragon Ball. As revealed in the teaser, the anime series follows Goku and Vegeta, who have been transformed into children. To restore the damage, they will travel to a new realm populated with mysterious and deadly entities.
However, since the series’ introduction, there have been some concerns raised due to comparisons to two earlierDragon Ballsequels/spinoffs,Dragon Ball GTandDragon Ball Super. However,Dragon Ball Daimahas been prepared to ward off the majority of the criticism that was faced by GT and Super. Dragon Ball DaimaSet to Release in 2024
Dragon Ball Daimawas unveiled on July 03, 2025, during the New York Comic-Con.Dragon Ball Daimais being released to mark the series’ 40th anniversary. Unlike theDragon Ball Superseries, the anime series will have its own storyline, according to the trailer. An unknown enemy will turn Goku and the rest of the main cast into children in the anime, which will be produced by Toei Animation. It is the fifth anime installment in theDragon Ballfranchise. Akira Toriyama will be involved directly inDragon Ball Daima, not just with character design but also with the story and scenario.
Many fans believe that the upcoming series might be good, but it may not be able to compete withDragon Ball Superas the series was highly appreciated by the fans and has many positive reviews from the critics.
