I was a carpenter. I was working in a framing crew and I told my mother, ‘I think I’m gonna quit this and I’m gonna move to New York and be an actor.’ And she said, ‘What? Oh, Matthew, what do you know about acting?’ I said, ‘Nothing. I don’t know anything about it. I’m gonna go try and figure it out.’
Considering LeBlanc had no prior experience as an actor, his mother’s skepticism was only obvious. After all, it’s an incredibly tough task to land a consistent job as an actor without any previous experience.
