Marvel’s Spider-Man 2is launching later this month, and there have been spoilers all over the internet, trying to kill the excitement of the fans. Several spoilers make their way onto social media platforms, including the start screen of the game, the trophy list, and more, revealing the game’s achievements. A new leak has now surfaced on the internet, raising suspicions aboutMarvel’s Spider-Man 2‘s length.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Is Just 30 Hours Long
A recent leak reveals that the game can be platinumed in just 30 hours, which is quite short. As per the report that was posted on the subreddit r/SpidermanPS4, a gamer who goes by the username ChrisGaming95 on X, formerly Twitter, claims to have platinumed after only 30 hours of playing. The user also shared a picture of his achievement, which seems to back up his claim that he completed all the achievements inMarvel’s Spider-Man 2.
If the claim in the leak is true, it will not come as a shock to players who have played Insomniac’s games. The predecessor of the upcoming game,Spider-Man, had a playtime of 35 hours, whereasMiles Moraleshad a playtime of only 20 hours. This playtime forMarvel’s Spider-Man 2makes more sense when tied to the trophy list, which has fewer achievements when compared to other titles.

Although the leaker claims to have completed the game in just 30 hours, it is also possible that they are a speed-runner since a user engaging on the post stated that they had checked his post onRagnarok, and“it said 46 hours where most people clocked in 55-60 for the platinum.”Also,Spider-Man 2is considered a bigger game than its predecessors, as a previous leak stated that the game has a 98GB file size.
It should also be noted that the game map has nearly doubled with the addition of Queens and Brooklyn, which would also bring several activities for both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, emphasizing the length of the game. However, it isn’t yet known if all the areas of Queens and Brooklyn can be played or just sections of them.

Is 30 Hours of Playtime for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Fair or Too Short?
Thetrophy listforSpider-Man 2for PS5 was leaked a few days ago, revealing the total number of trophies in the game. The lists showed a horde of mission types and story events, mostly related to open-world missions, suits, and story progression. Considering the playtime of the alleged 30 hours, it might be good news for players who don’t like to spend hundreds of hours playing a game to complete it or for trophy hunters who look for achievements every step of the way in a short time.
Although 30 hours is quite a downgrade in terms of length compared to other games that have launched in 2023 and makes one wonder if the game will have enough content, the community should do just fine with it. The previous games inthe Spider-Manseries had almost the same and lesser playtime, but they seemed to have satisfied the players with the content at hand.

It is also worth mentioning that the previous games had to set up and introduce characters, butSpider-Man 2can take the story further from the beginning. A game addressing the story and its progression is much better than games with hundreds of hours that have almost similar and repetitive tasks. With that said,Marvel’s Spider-Man 2launches on July 22, 2025, exclusively for PlayStation 5.
