Amy Adams’ Lois Lane along with the Kent family have been the integral force behind Superman learning the values of humans and keeping him grounded on Earth. Whenever Clark Kent or Superman doubted himself or found himself in difficult situations, Lois Lane and the family provided him the much much-needed emotional support.

While the theatrical cut ofJustice Leaguegenerally is considered inferior to the Zack Snyder version, one scene involving Lois Lane and the matriarch of the Kent family proved to be an exception. A difference in how the scene is approached makes the theatrical cut better than how it was done in theSnyder Cut.

The Martha Kent- Martian Manhunter Twist in The Snyder Cut Didn’t Make Sense
Zack Snyder’s Justice Leaguewas a considerable improvement over the forced and inconsistent treatment of the narrative of Joss Whedon’sJustice League. The four-hour runtime managed to cover a lot of necessary story for the characters, while also giving the overall narrative enough depth and nuance.
Even though the Snyder cut is superior over the theatrical cut, fans have pointed out some underwhelming aspects of the former which was ironically done much better in the latter. (as put byCBR). One scene in particular was the intimate moment that was shared between Diane Lane’s Martha Kent andAmy Adams‘ Lois Lane.

In the theatrical version, Martha Kent convinced Lois Lane to get back to news reporting and continue covering the important events that were happening. In the Snyder Cut, the scene flows the same with one big difference.
It turns out that Martian Manhunter had shapeshifted into the Kent matriarch to do the convincing. This made little sense and it completely ruins the purity of the moment. Hence, this became one of the integral character moments that was done better in the theatrical version than in the Snyder cut.

Amy Adams Was Really Happy About The Snyder Cut Getting Released
After many fan campaigning and petitions, the Zack Snyder version ofJustice Leaguewas released. Many actors involved with the film supported the power of fans and made them witness the true version of Snyder’s treatment of the film. Amy Adams also supported the release and shared her excitement for what was in store.
She was also curious about whether the new version stayed true to the script she read or whether it expanded the universe in new ways. Adams toldCinemablend,

“I’m looking forward to seeing what the Snyder Cut looks like. I mean, I knew what the script was, and so I’m curious to see if it stays true to the script or if we’ve expanded the universe a little bit. But I’m glad Zack’s getting a final cut in there. That’ll be great.”
The four-hour runtime greatly benefitted the movie as Snyder got to delve deep into the characters and make the overall narrative work better. It has been championed by fans and the whole phenomenon was considered a true victory for fans and the power they have.
