Never known to instigate a controversy in his life,John Wickstar Keanu Reeves found himself dragged into one in the year 2010. It came in the form of a lawsuit that a woman filed against him.
A couple of years ago, the actor became an internet sensation all of a sudden, and social media users couldn’t stop gushing over his humble personality. But, his life could have turned upside down as the woman claimed he fathered children with her while they were young.
The lawyer in defense called the case“incredible”and Keanu Reeves went to great lengths to prove he didn’t do any of what he was accused of. But what actually happened in that case?

Ontario Woman Asked Keanu Reeves For Family Support
Karen Sala, who brought the charges against actorKeanu Reevesin the city of Barrie, said that he had been living in secret with her for years and that she gave birth to 4 of their children, as per CBC News.
She hit Reeves with a hefty $3 million lawsuit that the actor was demanded to pay in the form of spousal support. As for her kids, aged between 21 and 25, she asked for another $150,000 each month.
CBC also mentioned in their report that Sala told the judge,“I do know for a fact that he is the biological father.”To get to the bottom of the truth, Keanu Reeves even went for a DNA test. The results were shocking.

Keanu Reeves Used Different Names, Said Karen Sala
According to The Star, which had a little more on the matter, Karen Sala alleged that Keanu Reeves used the name of another film star to woo her when they were young.
Fred Graham (the judge), according to the said publication, remarked that the judicial resources were at stake, given the fact that Sala didn’t provide the birth certificates of her children to corroborate her story.
On the other hand, she said –
“I didn’t know he was Keanu Reeves. To me, he was Marty Spencer.”
Reeves’ paternity tests came out negative and Graham had to dismiss the motion calling it a“waste of judicial resources.”She also submitted an affidavit in which it was mentioned that theSpeedactor used tricks and hypnosis to meddle with the test results.

It was found out in the proceedings that Karen Sala had been married long before, but to another man whose name was mentioned in the divorce documents.
Keanu Reeves will next make an appearance in Ana de Armas’Ballerina– set to release on July 03, 2025.
