What did Jim Parsons like aboutYoung Sheldonmore?
According toJim Parsons,The Big Bang Theoryexplored several aspects of Sheldon Cooper’s character. From a friend to a man in a relationship, it showed everything but Parsons could never get to know how Sheldon Cooper would have been as a father.
In a conversation with TVLine (viaTV Series Finale), Jim Parsons stated that the writers’ imagination enabled him to know the unexplored aspects of the character.

“In fact, I’ve already done voiceovers [on Young Sheldon] from ages that are older than I ever got with Sheldon [on Big Bang]. He spoke of his children last season, and obviously we haven’t seen that yet. I will get to hear where [the writers’] imaginations take that character… that I never would’ve gotten to find out otherwise.”
Young Sheldonsuccessfully ran for 6 seasons and 127 episodes with a seventh and final season planned for the upcoming year. Season 7 is slated to be the last ofYoung Sheldon.Speaking about more such spin-offs, the makers announced thatThe Big Bang Theorywon’t have new spin-offs until there’s a need.

Can we expect another spin-off toThe Big Bang Theory?
BesidesYoung Sheldon,we haven’t received any other spin-off to the hit CBS sitcom. Reportedly, the makers planned to expand the universe with a present-day spin-off. However, they soon dropped that plan as the co-creator Chuck Lorre claimed toTV Linethat money can’t be the only driving force behind a new show.
“Unless there was a creative reason to do it — a wonderfully, wonderfully creative reason to do it — than the only reason [to do it] is economics, and that’s not good enough. This is hard work. And if you’re going to do it, you gotta love what you’re doing; you’ve gotta be passionate about it. And if you’re just chasing money, that’s not enough.”

It can’t be denied that the decision to not make another spin-off until there’s a creative reason is commendable. There’s no lie in admitting that not every show can be like the spin-off prequel to Jim Parsons’ character. The makers know well that force-feeding the universe might affect the popularity of the show.
BothThe Big Bang TheoryandYoung Sheldoncan be streamed on Max.
