The Flash, starring Ezra Miller, is finally out in theaters now, after numerous delays due to the pandemic or issues in production, or internal conflicts. Though the movie was much anticipated around its original release, which was in 2018, it lost much of this hype due to this delay. The movie has had a sub-par performance, having only made $24.5 million on its opening day whereas other movies of its genre see a much bigger opening day total.

Now another obstacle is in the way of the movie as it is receiving a great deal of harsh criticism for every aspect of it. From awful cinematography to poor CGI and even cameos, it would seem that the movie is being shredded from every angle. However, it would seem that James Gunn fans are defending the movie regardless of the relentless remarks about the project.

James Gunn Fans Talk About The Real Reason ForThe Flash’sFailure

James Gunnfans on Twitter have come up with a theory that they think can be credited to the underwhelming performance ofThe Flash. They believe that the movie was doomed due to a coordinated hate campaign towards it. They believe that all the hype that the movie was receiving around the month of May of this year dwindled away due to the constant negative backlash that people were pointing toward it.

“I’ve never seen such a coordinated hate campaign again a film. It sucked ip all the excitement that built in May.”Said a fan,“There’s a palpable feeling of hatred, to the point that any positivity immediately gets drowned out by the noise of backlash. No wonder word of mouth of this can’t get going. WBD(Warner Brothers. Discovery)should have released the film is mid-May when excitement was highest and leaks hadn’t done damage.”

They believe that this constant criticism of the movie is the reason why positive feedback is getting lost and all we hear is negativity. They also attributed the failure of this movie to be because of the amount of leaks that came out before the release.

Reaction To James Gunn Fan’s Theory aboutThe Flash‘s Failure

After this theory aboutThe Flashhit Twitter, fans were quick to express their opinions about it. Many agreed with this, stating that they too have seen patterns where people who haven’t even seen the movie are voicing their problems with it. Some went as far as to compare the movie’s media trajectory with Disney’sThe Little Mermaid, which was released earlier this year.

“There’s no coordinated attack on the film lol It’s just f*cking awful & a lot of people agree with that sentiment. It’s only the biggest of DC die hards that like it It has nothing to do with Gunn, nothing to do with Snyder, a little to do with Ezra, & everything to do with being an awful movie”Replied a fan.

This has nothing to do with leaks. The film is just bad & embarassing. James Gunn & the studio are responsible. They deserve all this

Absolutely. It’s been going on for at least a year & mostly from the Snyder Cult. First they made it seem like Keaton was a decrepit invalid only suitable to play Wayne with a limp & a cane, now that footage proves he still kicks ass it’s the cameos,CGI & now the weekend BO (that…

On the other hand however, many are completely against this theory, stating that the only reasonThe Flashis performing so badly is due to its own poor quality, pointing out that this poor quality is the reason why fans don’t want to watch the film.
