Harrison Ford recently confirmed in an exclusive interview that with this year’sDial of Destiny, he is finally taking off the hat of Indiana Jones. And that, it might also be the last time fans ever get to see the archeologist in action. In an interview yet to be released fully, he discussed his excitement for the movie, and how it has always been his hope to end this iconic franchise with a blast.

And so, he is over the moon to finally realize this dream after four decades. Although Chris Pratt had claimed that he would like to try his hand at playing Jones before, this statement from Ford might also be the final nail in the coffin of Pratt’s dream. However, only time will tell the future of this franchise, for now, it seems that this truly is the end.

Harrison Ford talks about realizing his ultimate dream
Harrison Fordrecently sat down with Total Films to discuss his ambition for the final movie of his career-making, four-decade-long franchise. Although the interview is yet to be released fully, as it hits the stands on April 27th, a snippet was revealed by GamesRadar, where the Hollywood legend was talking about how excited he is for the movie. Talking about the Mads Mikkelsen and Phoebe Waller-Bridge co-starrer movie, Harrison Ford said,
“I had been ambitious to do this film for 10 years, and there finally came a time when we all committed to that. It was a joyous moment for me. I think it’s a rare situation that I find myself in.”

Inevitably, after years of investing his blood, sweat, and tears into what turned into nothing short of a worldwide phenomenon, majorly because of his masterful performance, he is quite emotional. The Star Wars star further noted, stating his appreciation for Steven Spielberg and George Lucas,
“I’ve been able to deliver amazing films developed by Steven [Spielberg] and George [Lucas] over a 40-year period, and to end it not with a whimper, but a bang, has been my greatest ambition for this excursion.”

As a result, he seems extremely happy and hopeful about realizing his ultimate career dream right now.

Harrison Ford indicates the end ofIndiana Jones
Fans are aware thatGuardians of the GalaxystarChris Pratthas always been a massive fan of Harrison Ford andIndiana Jonesalike. In fact, to the point, he was once extremely hopeful about reprising this franchise by portraying Ford’s character in his own way. However, it seems like Harrison Ford has scared him off for good from his dream. In an old interview, theJurassic Worldstar quipped,
“All I know is I once saw a quote from Harrison Ford and I don’t even know if it was really him but it was enough to scare me, that was like, ‘When I die, Indiana Jones dies.’ And I’m like, am I gonna get haunted by the ghost of Harrison Ford one day when he dies if I play…?”
The quote he referred to came from a 2019 interview with Today, where Harrison Ford claimed,“Don’t you get it? I’m Indiana Jones. When I’m gone, he’s gone. It’s easy.”And now, Ford’s recent comment on the Total Films interview seems to have sealed his fate.
Ford claimed,“This is the final film in the series, and this is the last time I’ll play the character. I anticipate that it will be the last time that he appears in a film.”However, it should be mentioned that allegedly anIndiana JonesTV series is in the works, although nothing is confirmed yet. Ford also commented on that saying that he will,“not be involved in that if it does come to fruition.”
