Spider-Man: No Way Hometook the theatres by storm in more ways than one. From Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Men fighting alongside Tom Holland to Zendaya’s MJ entirely forgetting Peter Parker, the film was one hell of an emotional rollercoaster. However, there was one scene that took every Spider-Man fan back to the past.

Remember the heartbreak we all collectively felt when Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker was unable to save Emma Stone’s, Gwen Stacy? Yep, we almost relived that same heartbreak inNo Way Homewhen MJ was falling down the building in an identical manner. As the audience held their breath, Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man swooped in to save the day, unlike the last time. Here’s what Zendaya has to say about the scene.

Zendaya Talks About Andrew Garfield Saving MJ
Tom Holland’s Spider-Man almost saved MJ before he was taken out of the scene. This resulted in the audience collectively gasping and freaking out because the scene was oh-so-similar to the one we saw inThe Amazing Spider-Man 2.We were not ready to see Peter Parker once again lose the love of his life in a gruesome way. EnterAndrew Garfield. Powered by his loss, Garfield’s Spider-Man flew to rescue and savedZendaya’s MJ.
In an interview forSpider-Man: The Official Movie Special,Zendaya talked about this moment stating,

“Andrew’s Peter Parker gets to help save someone else’s love, which is huge for him because it’s something he must deal with every single day. When you lose someone that you love and you feel like it was your fault, it is a huge burden to bear.”
She also stated that it was a sweet moment because MJ had no idea what saving her meant for Garfield’s Peter or why he was crying. Well, while MJ might be oblivious to the reason, everyone sitting in the audience knew exactly what had happened, and thus, the emotional moment.

”It’s a really sweet moment because MJ doesn’t know what happened. She just knows that he just saved her, so she’s like, “Thank you!” He’s crying, and she’s like, “Are you OK?” Even though she’s the one that just fell from the building.”
Spider-Man: No Way Homedid a brilliant job of bringing our memories to life. The scene in question was the perfect way of giving closure to both Garfield’s Peter and the fans.

Zendaya On the Relationship between the Three Peter Parkers
While Holland, Garfield, andTobey Maguireplay the same web-slinging superhero, it’s safe to say that they all have different stories. All three actors have brilliantly brought the character to life and have given it their personal touch. No wonder the films are so widely loved despite them revolving around the same character!
Zendaya will certainly agree with the previous statement as she too believes that all three actors truly care about their versions of Spider-Man. TheEuphoriaactress stated,
“They were so lovely and so thoughtful about their respective Spider-Men because they care about their characters too. They care about their Peters and their different stories. Each of them has a connection to Peter Parker and has this strong relationship.”
While the two Peters are back in their universes, the Multiverse can make anything and everything possible. We wouldn’t mind if we got a reunion as we cannot wait to see where Spider-Man’s story will head next!
