This Isn’t The End For Nicolas Cage’s Acting Career Though

This statement on its own would have terrified, not only fans of the actor, but those passionate about cinema in general, considering just how much Nicolas Cage has contributed to Hollywood. However, he went on to follow this statement by saying that after he feels like he has had enough of movies, he would like to bring about some change in his professional life, wanting to try something new instead. He explained that he was specifically interested in the world of streaming and television series.

“I am very interested in immersion streaming with episodic television. I have seen things that can be done now with characters and the time they’re given to express themselves. I saw Bryan Cranston stare at a suitcase for an hour on one episode of Breaking Bad. We don’t have time to do that in a feature film, so maybe television is the next best step for me. We’ll see.”

He elaborated on this, stating that he loves how immersive these types of projects are because of the amount of time the audiences and actors spend with these characters. He took the example of Bryan Cranston inBreaking Bad, talking about how this stretch in time limit helps the actors delve deeper into the characters that they are playing and get more to explore them as people. This might be one of the best news that Cage could have given his fans as, though he has featured in television series here and there, none have given him enough time to give the truly exception performances that he is known for.
