Starring Uma Thurman, the doulogy has to be one of the most iconic sets of movies of the 2000s. It is, however, quite interesting to find out that Tarantino did not have the best time during the filming of the first movie in the franchise.

Quentin Tarantino Hated FilmingKill Bill

The filming process ofQuentin Tarantino‘sKill Billstarring Uma Thurman, took up nearly nine months, all of which were incredibly tedious. The director revealed that he had been forced to follow an extremely hectic schedule every single day where he would have to wake up very early and work ridiculously hard, not having any personal time at all.

“It really was a situation like I had it. I was just sick of making the fing movie, of getting up so fing early, working so damn hard, of not having a life, of answering questions. I was that f***ing grumpy asshole the whole day. It happened twice and eventually I come to my senses,”Tarantino once told.

The schedule was naturally extremely tiring for Tarantino and he started to become quite grumpy and difficult to work with. The director revealed that it happened twice and that he was pretty much insufferable throughout the workday, however, he did let it happen a third and tried to get back to his senses.

Quentin Tarantino’s Co-Workers Notices And Feared His Sour Mood

Quentin Tarantino revealed that this bad mood did not go unnoticed by the people he was working with onKill Bill. He mentioned that his co-workers were quite afraid of him when he was in this mood and were aversive about approaching him. He added that due to this, they would not ask him many questions and even when they did, they preferred to keep the conversations short to avoid his wrath.

“When you are like that, people don’t bug you with a million questions. They’re scared of you because you are being grumpy. They don’t go and talk to you unless they have to and when they do, they keep it short,” he explained. “So I was just pacing around, looking like a tiger in a cage, saying ‘I am an artist and I am doing what I want to do.’”, he revealed.

He also went on to say that he used this reaction to his advantage for the rest of filming, chalking up his sour mood as being the result of his creative process as an artist and this is what he did, all the while making everyone on set terrified of talking to him or just approaching him in general.
