John Krasinski Nearly Fell Out of a Black Hawk While Working on a Stunt
John Krasinski is known for his love of stunts, and he almost got thrown out of a Black Hawk while filming a scene of his Amazon Prime Video seriesTom Clancy’s Jack Ryan. In an interview, John Krasinski revealed that the stunt was originally supposed to be performed by a stunt double. However, Krasinski’s love for acting and his stunt guys persuaded him to perform the stunt and he almost met a tragic accident.

Krasinski’s love of stunts is evident in many of his other films and TV shows as he also did his own stunts in the films13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of BenghaziandA Quiet Place. He also did a number of his own stunts onThe Office, including the scene where he jumps into the lake with Pam. The actor revealed during an interview that,
“I did more of my stunts than I should have. It was one of those things where I was like, ‘Guys I am getting older and I don’t wanna do it’ and the stunt guys were like, ‘No problem, maybe just give us one’ and I was like, ‘of course’. And then like 17 minutes later I was like, ‘Guys, guys!’.
It wasn’t actually a stunt, it was a Black Hawk taking off and we did this one take where I get on a Black Hawk and the black Hawk takes off on the same take, which sounds super exciting and it was except for the pilot didn’t care whether I got my seatbelt on or not.
So I was like, ‘I’ll see you back there’ and I was like, ‘Not yet, not yet’ and he was like, ‘Here we go’ and I was like, ‘Nope nope nope nope’. So when you see me in the trailer looking confident, 5 seconds ago I was not confident, I was terrified.”
