While this may sound odd to some people, this actually helped Stone during her journey to becoming a well-known Hollywood star around the world. The role of Gwen Stacy in Marc Webb’sThe Amazing Spider-Manfilm series played a significant role in making Stone a household name, but how did Stone resonate with her character?

Her spooky upbringing helped her resonate with her character inThe Amazing Spider-Manfranchise

Stone played the role of Gwen Stacy in director Marc Webb’sThe Amazing Spider-Manmovies, becoming a household name around the world. The actress further explained how her obsession with death and spooky things helped her relate to her character,

“After what’s happened to her dad [a police chief, who died in the first film], Gwen has a great awareness of mortality and time and how quickly life goes. She now has an emotionally driven reason to make logical decisions, and her story resonated hugely with me because it is so incredibly dramatic,”adding,“I was that ambitious when I was very young as well. Gwen is clear on what she wants to do with her life – in terms of her job and her sense of purpose. I think and hope that I am in the same ballpark there. Science-wise, though, she is much better than me.”

Emma Stone won an Academy Award in 2017

After theSpider-Manmovies, the actress’s life completely changed as she recalled later in the interview,

“More work has come my way and it has compromised my anonymity. That loss is weird; I get to hear my name a lot more: ‘Emma! Emma!’ It’s a bit odd. Different days I react differently, but it is still so foreign to me that someone could walk by and put a phone in my face as if I am not another person. I am not going to punch anybody. I’m not going to scream and rip someone’s face off.”

Stone won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2017 for her enchanting performance as an aspiring actress in Damien Chazelle’s musicalLa La Land(2016). Her remarkable acting skills, natural charisma, and ability to connect with audiences make her one of the best actresses in the entertainment industry right now.
