Pinkett Smith and Reeves became good friends during the filming of the movie. TheScream 2actress describes the 58-year-old actor as a very sensitive and generous person. After working with theDestination Weddingactor, the 51-year-old actress became aware of Reeves’s charming personality.
In an interview, Pinkett Smith was asked about Reeves and she had only good things to share about him. TheSet It Offactress said,
“He has this mysterious quality, especially with us, with the press. He has a very guarded face. He’s very generous. He’s very sensitive. He’s very quiet. You know what I mean? But he’s also a really intuitive person.”
Pinkett Smith went ahead and explained how Reeves knows how to give people their space even during the filming of a movie.Will Smith’swife stated that the Canadian actor appreciates when other actors also give him space. TheGothamactress said,
“You know, when he wants that kiss in the morning. You know, there were days I’d come on the set and I’d go, ‘I think today is the day Keanu might want a kiss.’ You know, and then I’d come on the set and that day would be a day when you’d wave, you know what I’m saying?”
Smith once stated that Reeves is the most hardworking person. The actress said, “I don’t think there’s any other person that I’ve seen work as hard as that man.”Pinkett Smith also invited Reeves to her show,Red Table Talk.

When Pinkett Smith made an appearance on Howard Stern’s show, she spoke about her chemistry with theReplicasactor. The 51-year-old actor explained why there was no on-screen chemistry between them. TheJason’s Lyricactress stated,
“I don’t think it was his fault. I think it was as much my fault as anybody’s. It wasn’t just Ke, it was me too. Keanu and I didn’t click. At that particular time we didn’t, but we actually became really good friends after I played Niobe.”
