With the Marvel Cinematic Universe expanding to include newer and newer characters, the pop sensation Harry Styles ended up getting his Marvel break inEternals.In the movie with the immortal beings, he plays Thanos’ brother Eros aka Starfox and makes his presence known in the post-credits scene.
However, ever since the release ofEternalsin 2021, there have been no updates about when and where Harry Styles’ character would be appearing in the MCU’s future. Apart from the millions and millions of fans of the actor wondering about Eros’ comeback,Ms. Marvelstar Iman Vellani seems to be another who has given it some thought. She’s questioning the possibility of whether Marvel Studios’ bought Harry Styles into the MCU for the sake of it.

In a discussion with AP Entertainment,Ms. Marvellead actress,Iman Vellani, was asked her thoughts onHarry Stylesmaking his MCU debut. Replying to the question, Vellani stated that it was strange and questioned if the Studios are truly going to go ahead and do something with Eros/Starfox or if was he just there “for the sake of it.”
“Ohhh, I feel so weird about it! I don’t know. It’s strange. I wonder, I really wonder if they’re gonna go ahead and do something with the character, or if they just teased it for the sake of it.”
Vellani then revealed thatChloe Zhao, the director of the film, is a huge fan of Styles, therefore, making it possible for the actor to reprise his role. However, Vellani also believes that the MCU fandom, which is already quite vast, merging with Styles’ huge fandom would end up being chaotic.
“Because I know Chloe Zhao is a big Harry Styles fan. But then you have all of the Harry Styles fandom in the MCU fandom, how chaotic would that be?”
Another character in the MCU who might have been introduced “for the sake of it”is Evan Peters’ Ralph Bohner inWandaVision. Peters had previously played Quicksilver in theX-Menfilms and fans were excited to see a character fromX-Menofficially in the MCU. Unfortunately, all the hype was simply a false alarm as it turned out the guy was just pretending to be Quicksilver and was actually just a resident of Westview, giving his character no significant meaning. Fans were a bit disappointed to find out that the character was fake and since then no official reports were made of the imposter.
However, Peters is reported to reprise the role inDeadpool 3but there are no official updates about it.

Harry Styles inEternals’Post Credits Scene
While Makkari, Druig, and Thena were on their spaceship looking for other Eternals on different planets, they were interrupted by a creature called Pip the Troll. Pip introduced them to another character, Starfox aka Eros of Titan, the brother of the supervillain Thanos.
The scene cuts to black after Eros states, “Yourfriends are in big trouble and we know where to find them.”This certainly does imply that Styles’ character would be returning to the MCU sometime in the future, helping Eternals in navigating their next adventure. We just don’t know when that will be and if it will be Styles who would continue to be the face of Starfox!
