While talking toPEOPLE,he opened up about his love for making movies, especially when he is in his 80s.

“I probably enjoy making movies more now than I ever did.”

Ford has never been looking to make movies that would make him popular. He continued to grab the opportunities and made an impeccable career. While his journey is coming to an end withIndiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, he has kicked off his MCU career.

While reflecting on his Indy role which helped him rise to prominence, he never had any goal of getting such stardom. He told the outlet about earning enough to make a living.

“I never thought that I would be a leading man,”he shared.“I really was just hoping I could make a living as an actor and not have to supplement my income with some other side hustle… I thought I would be lucky to have a character part on a regular TV show.”

Though, life had other plans! He continues to keep himself grounded despite the stardom he is surrounded by in the industry.

“No one ever believes this, but I never wanted to be rich and famous,”he said.“I just wanted to be an actor.”

Ford further opened up about being grateful for the immense support he received from his fans who had a great role in his successful career.

“I am very gratified that I still have the opportunities that I have to work, and I owe that to the audience.”

While fans would have to wait to see him inCaptain America: Brave New World,his last portrayal as Indy inIndiana Jones and the Dial of Destinyis releasing on this June 30.
