What Was The Controversy And Drama Brie Larson Found Herself In?

The first time she appeared as the superpowered inter-galactic savior Captain Marvel in the 2019 film, everyone was excited to see what the future held forBrie Larson. And sure enough, she delivered on those expectations with flying colors. But behind that character’s portrayal was something the actress was facing in her personal life.

How Internet Harassment Almsot Deralied Larson’s Career

The aforementioned incident was back in 2017, and 2019 may have been even worse. After the release ofCaptain Marvel, while the film may have been a $1.13 Billion commercial success, the actress saw the wrath of the internet. Many fans took to social media to bash the character of the superhero as being nothing more than an egotistical individual.

Along with that, the cocky attitude of the character rubbed on everyone the wrong way, which incited more resentment and venting from the fans. This became so overbearing that she was pretty disillusioned with playing the role of Carol Danvers in the future at one point, as pointed out in the bookMCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios.
