Masters of Sexhottie Lizzy Caplan has been shocking her fans with her raunchy scenes with Michael Sheen in the hit Channel 4 show, for years. However, when it comes to behind the scenes of the show, there’s a lot more shock waiting for the fans to unravel. Well, to be precise, while the s-x scene in the US drama appeared flawless, it wasn’t a fun experience for the actress.
While it takes a lot of courage to perform intimate scenes on screen,Lizzy Caplantried her best to gather her confidence and turn the love scene with Michael Sheen into a perfect one. But little did she know what a horrific experience was waiting for her. Caplan, who plays human s*xuality researcher Virginia Johnson in the series, appeared onConanto share her experience.

Discussing how her intimate scene went haywire and ended up turning into a disaster, Caplan mentioned that calling it awful would be a genuine understatement. Stating how her co-star literally threw up after the scene, the actress confessed to losing her confidence.

Michael Sheen Almost Killed Lizzy Caplan’s Confidence
The actress admitted feeling extremely uncomfortable performing the s*x scene, but her discomfort was nothing compared to Sheen’s. Confessing how her hands were trembling out of fear “mainly because he (Sheen) was my friend at that point. I don’t generally conduct myself in that way with my friends”, Caplan mentioned gathering her courage for the sake of her show.
However, the actress felt relieved when she noticed evenMichael Sheen‘s hands were shaking and clammy. Nonetheless, her relief was a matter of a few minutes since, as soon as the scene closed her mood changed completely. “They yell ‘Cut’ and he immediately walks over to a garbage can and throws up,” Caplan recalled.

Discussing how Sheen’s sickness bruised her confidence, Lizzy Caplan mentioned, “I thought it was a direct cause and effect situation.” She added, “My whole self-confidence plummeted to the ground and I realized that I’m a monster and anybody who touches me will immediately start vomiting and that’s just the way it’s going to be”.
But fortunately, it wasn’t the actress who made Sheen throw up. It was apparently a result of food poisoning.
