Ryan Reynolds is one of those stars who never had a backup plan – either it was acting, or nothing. While Reynolds was improving his resume, there was a point when he became“disillusioned by the film industry,”and thought about how different things could have been if he became a teacher. He said:

“It wasn’t like I was having a very illustrious career up in Canada. I was doing all of these movie-of-the-weeks with all of these ex-Dynasty stars. It was depressing. I would have rather gone to university or become a teacher, so I did quit, I stopped acting for about a year.”

The depressing phase was, however, short-lived as he moved to Los Angeles with a friend. After landingTwo Guys and a Girl,the actor went on to star in movies likeWaiting, The Proposal,andBlade: Trinity.In 2011,he again faced turbulence with the massive failure ofGreen Lantern.

AfterGreen Lanternbecame the biggest box office bomb in history, Ryan Reynolds’ career fumbled for a while. The actor himself admitted representing the“death of superheroes”after the 2011 flop. But again, as some things are meant to be, Reynolds’ stars aligned as he found massive success with the X-Men filmsDeadpool(2016) andDeadpool 2(2018).

The highest-grossing R-rated comedy earned Reynolds nominations at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards and the Golden Globe Awards.

The year 2017 came as a big moment after the actor was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Now, Ryan Reynolds has announced the release date forDeadpool 3, which is July 01, 2025. Interestingly, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine is set to appear in the movie, despite dying inLogan. Reynolds, on the other hand, is gearing up for another blockbuster.
