As already noted, Robert Downey Jr. never fails to give appreciation to those whom he respects – especially as an artist. In case you didn’t know,Emma Stoneand Mark Ruffalo have worked together on an upcoming film calledPoor Things, where Stone has transformed herself for the role.
While speaking with Mark Ruffalo as part of an interview conducted byVariety, Robert Downey Jr. talked about Mark Ruffalo working alongside Emma Stone forPoor Things. TheIron Manactor made it clear that he is in awe of what Stone has done for her role inPoor Things.
”So many of your scenes are with Emma Stone and I am pretty obsessed with her now. I’ve always thought she was great but this is just, this is just such a defining moment as an actor, for her watching her, and you have the joy and the ability – it seems you guys just have a great chemistry.”
Poor Thingsstars Emma Stone as Bella Baxter and Mark Ruffalo as Duncan Wedderburn, in what has been touted as a genre-defining black comedy. It is set to release in US theaters on December 8th, so we’ll have to wait and see how the film will turn out.

Robert Downey Jr. Will Not Be Returning AsIron ManIn The MCU
The Marvel Cinematic Universe properly took off with Robert Downey Jr’s portrayal of Iron Man in 2008. Iron Man was truly the heart and soul of every major Marvel movie, as he never failed to steal scenes, especially inThe Avengerstrilogy. It is no exaggeration to say he made Marvel what it is now and fans were utterly heartbroken after his departure followingAvengers: Endgameback in 2019.
Recently, rumors that Robert Downey Jr. would be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe dominated headlines. While speaking toVanity Fair, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was asked about bringing back Robert Downey Jr. as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Feige made it clear he will not be returning to the franchise.
“We are going to keep that moment and not touch that moment again. We all worked very hard for many years to get to that, and we would never want to magically undo it in any way.”
Fans are certainly disappointed that Robert Downey Jr. will not be making his return as Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, considering the state of the franchise right now, perhaps that’s for the best.
