Marvel Rivals teased the “Patch” costume for Wolverine when the Season 2 trailer first dropped. Logan attended the grand celebration of human and mutant relations in a white tux, along with a patch over his left eye. This was a reference to his costume in one of the Hellfire Gala comics. DuringEvent 2 of the Cerebro Database Seasonal Event, we saw Wolverine dressed in the same costume on his lore page. But how and when can players claim it?

We are now almost halfway into Season 2.0 and awaitingUltron’s potential arrivalin Season 2.5. In the meantime, the developers are keeping us busy with new costumes and events every now and then. Recently, Marvel Rivals’ official social media handles uploaded a new trailer showcasingBlack Panther’supcoming gala costume. While that skin will require Units to purchase, the caption claims that players will be able to acquire the Wolverine Patch costume for free.
It will be an event reward for players to claim. There isn’t much information available yet, but it is set to begin on August 08, 2025. The developers haven’t mentioned any server downtime, so it is likely that this update will be installed during the June 19, 2025, Patch Notes. Since the Cerebro Database event is still live, it is unlikely that the new Seasonal Event will launch so soon after the current one.
Due to the lack of clarity, we can’t promise much as of now. But my guess is that this event will be similar to theScarlet Witch Chaos Gownevent at the beginning of Season 2. It only lasted a few days. Fortunately, it was fairly easy to complete. When we have more information available on the event, we will update it here. Until then, mark the date and get ready to claim the free Wolverine Patch skin in Marvel Rivals.
