Henry Cavill has been in the news as the potential next James Bond for years now. While fans would certainly love to have him star as the celebrated fictional British spy, there have been only disappointing updates so far. After his exit from the DC verse andThe Witcherseries, things seemed to be going downhill for the actor.
Back in 2021, it was revealed that Henry Cavill would be starring in aHighlanderreboot with the potential to turn into a franchise. While there were no updates on the project, recently John Wick director Chad Steahelski, who would be the one directing the reboot, revealed the project is still in production.

Henry Cavillwas fired from DC despite his popularity as Superman, and then he went ahead and left his second most popular role as Geralt of Rivia inThe Witcher. He was then rumored to be the next Bond, even though he had already missed the opportunity years back. Ever since those rumors there have been no positive updates but more disappointing ones. While Cavill missed playing 007 for being too young years back, he now seems to have missed it again for being too old.
Despite the disappointments, Henry Cavill’s fans finally have happy news to rejoice in since it has been confirmed that he will be starring in theHighlanderreboot and that the project has not been shelved despite no updates since 2021.
Even more exciting is that Henry Cavill would be working withJohn WickdirectorChad Stahelski, who would be the one directing the reboot. Even though it hasn’t been revealed whether Cavill will be starring as Connor MacLeod or not, fans remain excited nonetheless.
