Game of Thronesis regarded as one of the best TV shows to ever be on air. While there are many things to love about the series, the abundance of incest scenes in the show makes it unbearable for some sections of the crowd.

Those who have watched the series from the start until the end will know what we are talking about. One of the most controversial scenes in the entire series featured Alfie Allen’s Theon Greyjoy and Gemma Whelan’s Yara Greyjoy touching each other inappropriately while riding a horse.

Alfie Allen’s Real Sister Was Offered The Role of Yara Greyjoy
HBO’sGame of Thronesis set in a fantasy world. But one would assume casting real siblings in the series would be a great idea. After all, they can portray the characters of on-screen siblings better than anyone else, right?
Usually, this idea can work. However, considering the amount of incest scenes thatGame of Thronesfeatured, it made it impossible to go down that path. Alfie Allen’s sister,Lily Allen, revealed that she rejected the role of Yara Greyjoy on GOT in a conversation onReddit.

Well, that was about a 5-year disparity between the two! But I’ve been asked to do a Game of Thrones cameo, they asked me if I’d be interested in playing Theon’s sister, and I felt uncomfortable because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up and s**t.

Lily Allen was actually asked about how she felt about her brother getting a job on the coolest show ever. A fan wondered if it was the aftermath of her 2006 song Alfie.
In the song, Lily urged her brother to get a job instead of sitting in the house doing nothing. Well, Alfie indeed ended up getting a job on one of the biggest shows in the world. The singer-turned-actress pointed out there was actually a five-year disparity between the two incidents.

After that, Lily revealed that she was offered the role of Theon’s sister onGOT.Lily obviously rejected the role, as it would have required her to be intimate with her real brother.

Lily Allen Would Have Loved to Work onGame of Thronesin a Different Role
There was a time when no show in the world could match the popularity ofGame of Thrones.Keeping that in mind, it was obvious that many actors and musicians made cameo appearances throughout the series.
Among them was the Icelandic band Sigur Rós in season four, episode two of the series. While the episode was widely remembered for the death of King Joffrey. It also featured the band playing music shortly before the king’s death.
Lily Allen revealed in the same Reddit thread that she would have loved to have made an appearance on the show in a similar way.
I would be open to doing a musical cameo like Sigur Ros, though.
Unfortunately, Allen never got an opportunity like that in the popular TV show. If the role she was offered didn’t feature too many incest scenes, she could have been a part of the show.
Game of Thronesfinished airing in 2019 after 73 episodes. Despite its popularity, the show lost its touch toward the end. Even today, many believe thatGOThas one of the worst endings of all time.
