BladestarringMahershala Aliis already behind production due to major delays but it’s only delving deeper into problems. Recently,Kit Harington, who was rumored to star in the upcoming film has acknowledged his inclusion and it’s not pleasant.

His Dane Whitman character was first spotted in one of the post-credit scenes forEternals, picking up his family’s legacy sword meanwhile a background voice (later confirmed to be Ali) asked,“Are you sure you’re ready for that?”
That eventually began to speculate the theory of Harington reprising his role in the new project. However, the actor during his appearance on a panel at the Superhero Comic-Con and Car Show addressed the rumors stating,

“The honest answer is I think that’s the intention with the character. I think there was some misunderstanding about whether he was going to be in the ‘Blade’ movie. He was never meant to be in the ‘Blade’ movie and isn’t.”
While the actor is interested in reprising his role, he concluded by sharing he knew nothing about it. It surely disappointed the fans who took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

Another pointless open plot line. Marvel really needs to tie these up. So many different ideas delved into and not one has made it past 2 movies.

They’ll get him back soon. Personally, I’m glad he’s not going to be in Blade. I’d rather movie focus on blade himself rather than any form of team up. Hopefully, he gets his own project or shows up in a team up movie soon enough rather than later.

The change in release time is directly proportional to the continuous production delays, rewrites, and ongoing Writer’s Guild strike. As per the earlier reports, the titular star’s disapproval of the film script led to several rewrites let alone changes, which highly delayed the production process. Originally slated for a 2024 release, it is now expected to hit theaters on June 04, 2025.
