Popular all around the world for his suave visage and equally mesmerizing persona, Danish film star Mads Mikkelsen has been over the hearts of the audience not just because of the aforementioned features, but his almost stoic and serious nature when it comes to acting, which often lands him a role in a project as an antagonist.
With his talent to charm everyone with his performances as well as his looks and nature, the star has been the center of attention for many from the industry as well as beyond it. Though he may not seem to be vocal about a lot of things that people want him to be, he has a reason, which relates to statements that are taken out of context in the industry nowadays as he gives the example of another Hollywood star that was treated unjustly.
Mads Mikkelsen Was Angry When Matt Damon Got Cancelled
When a star usually reaches a certain position of stardom and fame, there are often instances when he has to stand up and raise his voice to address something that the fans or their supporters want them to share their thoughts on. But infamously,Mads Mikkelsenhas been able to stay under the radar of such obligations for a long time now, which he says he does due to the hostile environment that someone’s voice can conjure if they unintentionally say something wrong or different.
In an interview withThe Guardianin 2019, theDoctor Strangestar revealed a lot about himself, starting with his upcoming the Danish Film industry to the Hollywood industry where he’s now very much sought after. In that interview, he also highlighted the sexual harassment allegations that were charged by many at the head of Zentropa, which was the company that produced many of his first films. While he did say that he was grateful that the movement empowered the victims to speak up, he personally wouldn’t say anything because he knows it’ll be blown out of proportion.
Giving the example ofMatt Damon‘s supposed 2017 controversial views on the subject and the MeToo movement, the star said:
“I’m saying, one word wrong and you’re a dead person, [Damon] is the most politically correct person in history. He said something quite common sense and he got f*cking slaughtered. So this is not a healthy discussion any more.”
Thus, due to this hostility and a sea of misunderstandings, Mikkelsen has decided to sit back and keep his opinions to himself.

After playing the role of Gellert Grindelwald in the recentFantastic Beastsfilm, Mikkelsen is back to take on the role of a villain in the upcomingIndiana Jones and the Dial of Destinyin the role of the main antagonist of the film named Voller. While we might not know the plot of the movie or the villain’s intentions, we do know that the film will focus on the Nazis and Prof. Indiana Jones’ adventure to foil their plans for good.
