With the release of the much-awaitedAnt-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, the MCU stepped into Phase 5 of the timeline, where we see the introduction of the newest supervillain of the MCU come to the spotlight. Jonathan Majors’ Kang The Conquerer, which in this case happens to be Warrior Kang, was showcased in his complete and terrifying glory when he took Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man to the limits of his capabilities.

While this version of Kang might’ve been ferocious and ruthless while dealing with Ant-Man, there was the particular scene of the Probability Storm that this specific variant of him didn’t want to approach. While many from the audience didn’t quite catch the meaning behind this scene, there were some that truly understood the severity of that decision and how it could’ve affected him in adverse ways.
Why Kang Didn’t Enter The Probability Storm?
While the threat of the Mad Titan Thanos might’ve passed, an even more sinister and powerful foe has arrived to take on the entire universe.Jonathan Majors, the star who plays Kang The Conquerer in the MCU promised that fans can expect a whole other league of danger from the multiversal entity. But even with those tall claims, the one scene from the film has been bugging eagle-eyed fans, which also raises the question of why couldn’t Kang enter the Probability Storm himself and take the Multiversal Core when he also could’ve stolen the Pym Particles to shrink.
In a recent video published by YouTuberThe Canadian Lad,he talks about how the scene in question came to be, and how it has a simple explanation. When the audience sees Scott Lang enter the Probability Storm, he also comes into contact with his different variants inside that were ready to help him. Now, imagine if the same thing would’ve happened with Kang, someone who is threatened by his own variants.

In the video, he says:
“Kang is totally capable of using Pym Particles to shrink down and steal the Multiversal Core himself, but it’s the Probability Storm that he’s afraid of, because Kang is afraid of his own variants. He cannot risk creating more variants of himself because he fears they will turn on him the same way other variants of himself did”
Thus, despite being the strongest creature in the multiverse, the only threat to his existence is himself.

What’s Next In The MCU?
While the performance ofAnt-Man and The Wasp: Quantumaniamay have been lackluster, die-hard MCU fans are still clinging to hope for the future. With many major projects likeGuardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3andThe Marvelscoming out later this year, there is still hope that the cinematic juggernaut will bounce back to its former glory, which will continue till the announcedAvengers: The Kang Dynastyas well asAvengers: Secret Wars.
