Hamill explains,“The thing is, they go back after this trilogy and do 20 years earlier, young Alec Guinness (Obi-Wan Kenobi) and young Darth Vader.”He further stated that “our characters”would be just children, probably referring to the lead characters of the original trilogy, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Han Solo.

However, Ford, who also joined him for the interview, broke into laughter as he pointed out his co-star’s error.“Yours might. Mine will be about 20 years old,”he said, leading Hamill, along with the interviewer, to crack up on his minor slip-up.

How Harrison Ford Landed the Role of Han Solo?

Before Harrison Ford landed the role of Han Solo in the originalStar Warstrilogy, he had small parts in multiple TV shows and movies. Around the same time, he also worked as a carpenter and got the opportunity to work with George Lucas in the 1973 filmAmerican Graffiti.

Although he did not have many dialogues in the movie, it did give his acting career the boost it needed, and he landed a small role in Francis Ford Coppola’sThe Conversation. However, George Lucas didn’t allow him to audition for the movie, as he reportedly did not want to feature any familiar face he had already worked with.

But as Ford read lines alongside the actors who auditioned for the role, Lucas found him way better and offered him the role of Han Solo. During an interview withCNN, Ford shared that if he wasn’t chosen for the role,“the other Han Solo would have been Chris (Christopher) Walken.” And theBlade Runnerstar also said that it would have been fantastic.
