Robert Downey Jr‘s controversial kickstart to his career is hardly unversed to any fan. The actor was subjected to many discussions at the start of his career due to his drug addiction. These issues led the Goop founder to be worried about her own reputation if she is spotted with theIron Manstar.
It was during an interview when Downey Jr revealed how he met Gwyneth Paltrow for the first time at a Film Festival in the 1990s. The actor recalled that the actress contacted a mutual friend to know more about the star as she was worried about his notorious reputation.
“She was like, ‘What is wrong with him? Who is this guy?’ She called him up asking, like, if it was going to be essentially bad for her reputation to be hanging out with me.”
But theShakespeare in Loveactress interrupted that it is not completely true. Although she agreed that theSherlock Holmesactor had a‘wild’reputation, Paltrow also added that she was naive then.
“He was really wild, and I was very naive. I immediately took a shine to him … Then he went off the radar for a little while.”

Appearing in an interview, Gwyneth Paltrow openly revealed how she has a lovely friendship with the 57-year-old actor that prospered through the Marvel movies. She even praised it as one of her greatest career achievements.
“My relationship with Robert Downey Jr., which was obviously forged through all the Iron Man and Avengers movies. I feel like I was able to find an incredible, lifelong, inspirational partner and friend.”
